How to stop someone from sending harassing mail via interstate US post office?

If it is actual threats (not merely annoying) or you truly (and reasonably) feel the person could be a threat to your safety, call the police. If you just don't like the person or do not want to hear from the person (such as a former boyfriend/girlfriend), the obvious solution is to throw away the letters or save them should you believe it will escalate into something else. Filing a police report is not a solution for just getting a letter you do not like, and could either lead to you getting in trouble for a false report. You may want to post again and include actual facts about the "harassment."
