Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Legal Eviction

I was living with my ex for over two years before we broke up. When we first moved in together our apartment was in my name only. When we relocated the new apartment was in her name only. Now that we are no longer together she feels as though it's just her apartment, and thinks I should leave. What legal stance do I have?

Re: Legal Eviction

Since the current lease is in her name only, you are what is termed a "tenant at will", with her being, in effect, your landlord. As such, she must give you 60 days notice to vacate before she can file a petition for eviction against you.
