is issue within scope of a nurse

anesthsia wants the nurses to inquire about pacemakers questions that a Dr needs to know to do the surgery they are requiring the nurses to copy the card call the company and ask questions that is unfamiliar to the nurses the Dr have given us a list of questions to ask without any understanding of what the answer would mean Is that not out of a nursing scope

can we do that safely knowing we don not understand anything about what anesthsia is looking for in the answers we have gotten. As an indiviual I do understand as a nurse I do not want to be responsible

Your question is unclear. It appears that you are a nurse. Are you calling makers of pacemakers to see what effects the anesthesia will have on the patient's with pacemakers?
