Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

Marriage of perm alien to f-1 student

my boyfriend and i have plans to marry but his student visa expires in august and he was going home on a visit in june upon graduation of his masters in engineering. i want to know if he goes to visit will he be able to return? (we will be married by then) and if he does will he be able to work if we apply for his documents before his visa expires? or is there a better way for he doesnt want to not be able to work for obvious reasons of being a supportive husband..thanks in advance!

I would recommend getting married now and applying for his adjustment of status.

Marriage to a greencard holder is not going to allow for any immediate immigration benefits. The most practical route will be for him to seek an employment based visa upon graduation (unless you are able to apply for citizenship). Please email my office if you would like to review your options in more detail.
