Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Georgia
Is it illegal in the US to provide links on my website to bootleg streaming movies someone is hosting on another website? For example, is letmewatchthis.com legal as they actually don't host any videos but just provide links to where movies actually are hosted.

Yes, you can be sued for copyright infringement, with enormous civil penalties, and can be arrested for a criminal violation as well.

The other question is why would someone want to provide links to those sites in the first place. Why even raise the issue?
