Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Contract Employee

I was recently told that the company I am under contract to work for is requiring all staffing companies to reduce their rate. The staffing agency I work for is trying to pass this to my salary. Do I have to accept this? I have tried to move to another firm and continue to work at company, but agency will not allow me to do so, even though my contract outlines the compensation required to do so. Are the new developments grounds to break my contract?

Re: Contract Employee

It completely depends on the language in the contract. Your best bet would be to have an attorney review the contract and facts of the case with you. Based on the circumstances, it probably would not need to be a lenghty consultation.

The foregoing is general information only, not specific legal advice. No attorney/client relationship has been created or should be implied. Consult with an attorney of your choosing before taking legal action.
