Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Former Employer Issues

Can a ''former employer'' call a ''former employees'' ''new employer'' and say things that are untrue or overly exagerated that would cost the ''former employee'' to lose his job or cost them a job opportunity?

Thank You
