Can they fire me?

I have been accused of rape recently. I have not been indicted, just had charges filed. I work at a hospital for children. Does my employer have the right to fire me because of the pending charges?

I'm afraid so. Georgia is a strict employment at will state. Unless you have a written contract giving you some rights, this would not be a firing in violation of your civil rights.
