Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

targeted for making PSC complaint against Employer

I wrote earlier with no response about an ongoing appeal against Broadspire for denial of my short term disability. After being threatened to be terminated if I didn't return to work even though I'm still under dr care, I have been written up twice in the past 3 weeks with termination shortly coming. I remembered today that while on benefits I contacted the PSC against a company employee for mismanaging my account as a consumer and truly believe that this is why I'm being targeted all of a sudden. I have been with this company for 27 years and have had 1 incident that I was written up and that was when I first started with the company, now I feel like everything I do is under a microscope and is not helping my health issues that I'm still battling (diagnosed as manic depressant with panic attacks and high blood pressure). Do I have any legal recourse should I be terminated?

You stated there was an ongoing appeal, please clarify. You may have recourse, but it is hard to give advice with the facts presented. I would need further information regarding your company's leave policies, your medical documentation, the company's efforts to accommodate you, etc.
