Re: Inappopriate Relationship

Get a lawyer IMMEDIATELY - go to the Army Trial Defense Services office on Post. Respectfully DECLINE to speak to the AR 15-6, Investigating Officer, without a lawyer present. If they read you your Article 31, UCMJ, rights, REFUSE to answer anything - politely of course. Just say, "Sir/Ma'am, I respectfully request that I have a lawyer present." If this involves a Recruit, there's trouble ahead, so help yourself. Get a lawyer ASAP. Good luck.

Re: Inappopriate Relationship

The AR 15-6 Investigating Officer should advise you that you are suspected of the inappropriate relationship, and advise you of your Art 31(b) rights. Those include the right to remain silent and the right to consult an attorney before answering questions. You should assert both rights. Respectfully DECLINE to answer questions and respectfully REQUEST to speak with an attorney. You can contact me if you have any questions: [email protected]
