Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

alleged theft of property

my former employer filed a claim against me for alleged theft of property and are demanding payment for $150.00. what can i do because the accusations are not true. i was terminated but not for any ''alleged theft of property''. what if any legal options do i have to protect myself from this ever happening again? i have filed a grievance with EEOC against this company. can EEOC help me with this matter? do i need a lawyer? also if i go ahead and pay these monies will i be suggesting that i am guilty thus giving them an opening to come at me again? i need for this to be resolved ASAP! i do not need this hanging over my head and i do not have money to be wasting. please help me!

Re: alleged theft of property

You need to get an attorney. ASAP. You may have a claim AFTER the matter is resolved in your favor, but it is too early to tell. Consult with a local attorney.
