my boyfriend gave the money to purchase my house as a gift, we are seperating. the deed is in my name only. he says he is going to sue me for the house. can he do that?

Sure he can sue. Anyone can sue for anything. He'll have the burden to show it was a loan and not a gift to get the money (not the house).
