Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Okay I own two homes and both of them are separate loans but I'm wanting to walk away from my main home and I want to keep my other home because my daughter is paying the mortgage on it. Will I be able to keep my second home? Or if I walk away from my main home will they try taking my second home?

Before doing this, see a lawyer. If you default on the one loan, you can not only face foreclosure but a lawsuit on the note, or a deficiency claim. That judgment, once obtained, becomes a lien on the other home.

You may find that the bankruptcy code gives you a means to get one home debt discharged, and keep one, so see a lawyer as to your options (and to see if that is one).
