Georgia Real Estate

I purchased a home. I don't recall signing any contract with the community association. Do I have to pay the community association fee?

Re: Georgia Real Estate

That depends, in part, on the documents filed in the real estate records and most likely disclosed in the closing package, title exam, etc. (if they were there). Review your closing file. Your question cannot be answer on the facts stated (even getting beyond whether your recollection is accurate).

Probably so. In all likelihood, there were covenants on record before you bought your property making you and all property owners members of the ASSN. and therefore subject to the dues. Contact the attorney who handled your closing. He/she should have a title report disclosing this. Furthermore, you should have been told at closing.
