Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

New Home Lawn Laws

I was told that in Georgia, when a new home is sold, there has to be an existing lawn. My wife and I bought our house under the impression that the lawn was already seeded with centipede grass and it would grow from watering. It hasn't and it has been almost a year. Is there anything we can do legally?

Re: New Home Lawn Laws

My first question would be "Who told you that there has to be an existing lawn"?

I have never heard of such.

Now, if the agent for the seller, such as a sales agent acting on behalf of a developer, told you that there was to be an existing lawn, that's another matter. Consult with a local attorney.
