Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I own a home on a private road with several neighbors. We are all responsible for maintaining the road. No one will. Can I fix the road up to my house, paying for everything, or do I need permission from neighbors whose property is included. We all own up to the middle of the road.
