Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

Traffic citation Q

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good days. I'd like to ask you about traffic citation issue.

My friend borrowed my car half month ago but he got

traffic citation for speeding in GA. (I purchased this car

in AL.) After that, he went to a long trip and I can not contact him.

My question is if he forgets to pay the citation, will influence my status(like can not sell my car in the future unless I pay the fee for him?) or just suspend his driver license. Thanks for your responce.

Best Regards,

Eric

Re: Traffic citation Q

He is the one who got the ticket not you. The ticket goes against the driver's license - not the car. It is his problem and will not impact the car.

Re: Traffic citation Q

Your friend's speeding ticket should not, in any way, affect your ownership of the car.
