Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Estate timelimits to sell ?

My sister and I are coexecturs of my mothers will.I live on the property of the estate in the home . I lived here before my parents died to take care of them. The estate has been in probate for a year and ehave been trying tom sell the property for the same amount of time. There is a second mortage on the estate of 62,000.00 to be payed. My sister wants to sell the property for less than I think it is worth, so I told the realestate people no, and my sister no. What I need to know is do I have a time limit in which to sell the house ? My sister said that we did have a time limit and that the probate would take the estate from us and make me move . Is this so ? I need to know some laws.

While there is no definite time required by law, the probate judge's computer will likely bring your case up for a hearing. Consult with a local attorney about your rights and the procedure in your county.
