Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

I need to know the complete law on this

I am a truck driver, I broke my foot at work and can not preform my job. Workers comp. is only paying me 66and 1/2 percent of my pay up to 375.00, that is a lot less than what I make. Whats the deal I got hurt at work and I am getting the short end of the stick here, why should my pay suffer if I got hurt at work. What are my options.

Re: I need to know the complete law on this

By law, your Employer/Insurer only has to pay you weekly benefits of 2/3 of your average weekly wage (up to $375.00). If your doctor has released you with restrictions and limitations and your employer is not providing you a light duty job, about the only way you can bring in more income is to find yourself a job. As long as the job is within your restrictions and limitations and your wages are below what you were making prior to your on-the-job injury, your Employer/Insurer will still have to pay you benefits. The cap on these benefits is $250.00 a week. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
