Does employer have to pay for days missed due to injury

Does an employer have to pay employee for 2 1/2 days of work missed due to injury recieved on the job. My husband had a 2x10 fall from house being worked on. Husband sustained head injury, bleeding to the brain and also contusion to the brain. Hospitalized for 2 days due to this. Employer did not pay husband for days missed at work.

Re: Does employer have to pay for days missed due to injury

If your husband was taken out of work by an authorized treating physician for seven days or more due to his on-the-job injury, the employer/insurer should pay income benefits pursuant to the Georgia Workers' Compensation laws. If he only missed two days and then returned back to work at full duty, they do not owe him any benefits. If he returned to work on light duty, he may be entitled to income replacement benefits if his current wages are less than what he was earning prior to the injury (due to his restrictions and limitations).
