Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Hawaii

I'm currently been sought to serve a subpoena for a company who is claiming I downloaded their movie illegally because it was discovered through my IPMP adddress. If they can't serve me face to face do they have a right to publish the subpoena in the local newspaper?

There are several methods used to serve process. Personal (hand you the summons in person) service is generally considered best, but there's also nail and mail (affix the summons to your door and mail a copy to you at your last known address) and, yes, publication in your local newspaper may be available. One way or another, you WILL be served and have to answer this summons.

Now would be a good time to hire an attorney who practices in the copyright arena.
