Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

Illegal knockoff purse

Im inside a flea market and there are couple people selling knockoff purses. The management of the mall knows they are selling it but arent doing anything about it. I also sell purses and we havent confronted the management that people are selling knockoff pruses. We know the management knows because weve talked to people in flea market and couple of managements employee and they said they all know about that. We would of never started a business if we knew they were selling knock off purses. I know couple people who buys purses from them and they buy in large quantities. One lady buys $1000 a week from one the knockoff lady. Will I be able to sue the management of the flea market and should I confront them of the illegal act. Were planning on to leave the flea market because were not able to compete with the knockoff purses. Or should we just leave and find a lawyer who can help us sue the mall management?

Re: Illegal knockoff purse

Hey, this question looks familiar! I am not sure you have much of a case against the mall management. You may have a claim against the vendor selling counterfeit purses, but even that seems like a difficult case in which to succeed. Have you tried contacting the actual manufacturers of the purses they are selling? They might be very interested in this.
