Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

When my case was called in small claims court in Illinois the Plaintiff was not there,but the judge made me come back on another date. Is this legal? Also the money amount in the case is 37,000 and the court has a limit of 10,000 I would like this answer to be free as I am unemployed

1. Come back. Yes. And hopefully the judge will lay into the plaintiff for you.

2. Then the judge may kick it up to the proper division -- would you like to have it continued again?
