reposession judgement

I co signed for a car in 2001. the person I co signed for got the car reposessed. in 2007 another compant entered a judgment against me, but as of today I a m still not paying it. THey are asking for $14,500 but the car was only $7.000. What if anything can I do to stop the judgement?
