who's responsible

I provided insurance coverage for my wife and daughter. My wife went to the hospital am i responsible for any charges she aquired? Collectors say i am responsible because my social security number was on the insurance card.

If you have health insurance and your wife and child is covered by the insurance then you are responsible for any charges not covered by the insurance.
