Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

When was 16 I was caught shoplifting the police took my finger prince and photo and I had to pay a no court day so I think that a wasn�t convicted of the crime.

Now I apply for bank position and I was wandered If the arrest will show up?

Without more information, it sounds as if you may have plead guilty and paid a fine. You would need to check with the county in which this occurred to be certain. If I am correct, this would be considered a conviction, even though you did not have a trial, etc. You also need to be careful to answer the question asked by the bank. Are they asking you if you have any previous convictions, or arrests? Even if your previous encounter did not result in a conviction, you would need to answer yes if you were asked if you have ever been arrested.

By the way, I hope you got your finger prince back (sorry I could not resist, I am sure you meant to type "prints" rather than "prince" but the typo made me chuckle.)
