Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Statute of limitations on kidnapping and child molestation

I'm a thirty seven year old woman. My ex-brother-in law took my nephew at the age of 30 monthes and kidnapped him. We have now just found him twenty six years later. Can we have him prosecuted for kidnapping? In addition, he had molested me at the age of five by both vaginal and anal penetration. I now know where he lives. Can I have him arrested?

Re: Statute of limitations on kidnapping and child molestation

Yes..... a thousand times

yes. You should contact the

prosecutor's office in Illinois, assuming it happened

in Illinois, or the state where this happened. For

added assistance you should

contact your State Senator

and State Representative.

There is no statute of limita-

tions on a criminal offense.

You may also want to contact

a child abuse prevention

association for added help

when you contact the prosecutor's office. Let them

contact the office with you.

I hope my advice helps.
