Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

we have custody of my grandchildren. there are 2 fathers, the 1 father is not in the picture. the 2nd father is getting out of jail and wants to work at getting custody of the kids. He wants all 3, he raised the oldest since she was 1 (she's 8 now), although he and the mother never married. If we do not object (as the custodial guardian) will a judge allow him to take custody of the girl that his not his daugther considering he raised her and it will allow all the siblings to stay together.

These best answer is Maybe. A lot will depend on the what the mother wants. I assume she is your daughter and is no longer in the picture for whatever reason. It also depends on what he was in jail for and whether there are any other contenders. There are too many variables here to give you a good prediction. My question to you is, " Do you want to give up custody." I suggest you talk to your own lawyer if Dad #2 is seeking custody.
