Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

married but separated about to have first child.

Separated,but not through the court system just returned to my parents home, since August, not likely to return to spouce, first child due in four weeks, he has provided no financial support at all, I am contemplating returning to maiden name and want to put maiden name on birth certificate, very concerned he will dissapear with infant if allowed visitation, what steps should I legally take at this point?

File for legal separation or divorce, if you have grounds to do so. That way, everything is decided before trouble starts.
