Duces Tecum

If I an served with a duces tecum and a reguired to appear over 70 miles away can I charge for milage and hoe much can I charge for providing the information?

The party at whose instance the deposition is taken must bear the fees and costs of the witness, officer, and recorder. So, let the other party know beforehead your costs, fees, etc. and be able to give justification for your numbers. For example, I believe the IRS milage reimbursement rate is $0.365 per mile. Also, give a reasonable rate for copying materials, and your time. But reduce all of this writing and give it to the party requesting the deposition and make sure it is acceptable to them and when you can expect payment.
