Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

What should I do as a plaintiff if the respondent does not file a response within the time provided in the court order? I was going to motion for summary judgement.

It depends on what sort of a response has been ordered. If it's an answer and respondent has failed to file by the deadline, then you would file a motion for default judgment.

If you have a Motion for Summary Judgment pending and no response was filed, the court will liekly only look at what you have presented and whatever else may be in the court file in determining whether you are entitled.
