Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

If I represent myself and present all evidence and arguments in trial, but lose, what benefits will an appeal get me?

The primary purpose of an appeal is to correct errors made at trial. If there were no errors made at trial, there is little benefit to an appeal, other than to delay the verdict becoming final.
