Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

My mother has abandoned me and emigrated to the USA right after I was born in Eastern Europe.

Years later when I was 13 she invited me to join her, promising "a better life" in Chicago. I have received my green card, then US citizenship this way. But as soon as reached 18 my mom kicked me out of her apartment. I am still a high school student and can't work full time to support myself. I have no place to stay. My mom on the other hand is getting all kinds of benefits and money as a single mother, refusing to give me a dime. Isn't she obligated to support/help me? After all she has invited me here. What can I do about it?

Thank you for your advice

If you are 18 your Mother is no longer responsible for you because you are "of age" now.

However if your mother is receiving some benefits for having you as a member of the household you may have a claim.
