Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

My son who is a US citizen has filed a petition(i-130) for green card for her devorced alien sister living in Pakistan which was received by USCIS in DEC, 2010. I am confused and do not understand from the USCIS web site about the total time involved (here in USA as well as in Pakistan) to get the green card. Will you please tell me approximately how much total time is now required to get the green card considering the last processing date shown on the web site of USCIS i.e April, 2007. An early reply will be highly appreciated. THANKS.

Hello Nasim,

Your son's petition will not be processed until the priority date on the approved I-130 petition is current. You may check the Visa Bulletin to determine whether the priority date is current. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this matter further.
