Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois

My Child Was Hurt In An Accident

My 11 month old child was injured and a motor vehicle accident. Am I entitled to compensation for my mental and emotional stress, loss of sleep, and other losses. I know I have an obligation to care for my child but this accident has placed extra burdens upon me. If I'm entitled to compensation, is it necessary to file a separate claim in addition to the claim filed on behalf of my infant child?
