Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois

insurance State Farm fights mold claim and refuses to pay for mold when it is co

My elderly mother has been fighting State Farm regarding a mold infestation. The mediation team low balled her claim and said it was caused by an animal. However it was due to ice damming on the roof which occured to many residents the winter it happened. Since she never accepted their offer nor cahsed the checks and because she was elderly they did not pay for the entire claim. We have filed a pro-se suit to keep the case active with the statues but we can not find a lawyer to handle the case. It is a clear case that they low balled her case and now the mold is throughout the house and is making her very sick. I am hoping that someone can help
