Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

In January 2010, I married and moved from Illinois to Indiana. I work as a home medical transcriptionist, and continued my employment with the same clinic I have worked for since 1993. Out of the blue, they call me yesterday and say that i have till the end of the year to move back to IL and keep my job, or be terminated. I have good evaluations each year, no warnings or disciplinary action. They claim a new payroll system cannot accommodate out of state workers. Is this legal??
