Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

What are my options after an employer hired me with the stipulation that I qualify to become a Qualified Service Person. I qualified but I have not received the training that my employer promised me. Without this training I cannot move up to a better paying position. Is there anything I can do? I live in Illinois.

Please repost with more information. Is this a union job? Is there a written contract? Other than a contract, is there anyting in writing concerning what the employer provides? Did you leave a different job to take the one where you would become a Qualified Service Person?
