Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

repairs not made

I want to know what rights we have when the mgt. doesn't follow through with repair requests. We live on the 2nd floor and we have a 2 year old. the windows are old, they are the turn handle and push out type. My son can open them. Not one window has screens we have been her 9 months and requested sev. times. I talked to the Mgr myself and she said it would be done by the next day. and still nothing! We have 3 months left and want to break our lease she is on vac. and corp office wont take my calls. What rights do we have?

Re: repairs not made

I'm not sure you have any rights. I don't know of any law that says you have a right to have screens on your windows. Try to sublease and get out if it is allowed by the lease. But for the sake of three months, I would wait it out.
