lawyer vs, client

I am being sued in small claims by my former attorney and I have a tape recording of a conversation that we had, Can I use this evidence in court?? He doesn't know that I taped the conversation.

Tape recordings, properly authenticated, made with the permission of one party to the conversation are admissible as evidence at trial, even when the other party does not know about them.
