Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

Mistakes in laparoscopic surgery

What can lawyers do to prove malpractice in a case involving laparoscopic surgery? What type of things does a lawyer look for? Should one go after the surgical instrument company involved if that company's product somehow injured the patient? For example, if my friend died as a result of a trocar blade rupturing a main artery in her abdomen as part of a routine procedure, is that the fault of the doctor or the device manufacturer? If you could point me in the direction of any other sources of information on this topic, especially any written articles, in addition to giving me your thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

This is nothing you can do by yourself and you or your friend will be a foul if you were to try. You must contact an attorney you are comfortable with and who practices in the area of medical malpractice and related areas.

There is absolutly nothing that can be said here to point you in the right direction other than urge you to consult with an attorney at once.
