How does one appeal a decison from the judge on a summary judgment when there was no trial?

The appellate procedures are the same regardless of whether there was a trial or summry judgment since both are final orders. You need to look at the Illinois Supreme Court Rules for appeals to determine the procedures in your case. Do so asap as there are deadlines that must be met. Good Luck
