Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois
okay i had a car accident last year unfortunatly at that time i didnt have insurnce or license. so when i hit the person i didnt have insurnce the police got there and gave me a ticket for not having insurence or license and gave the lady and i a court date to attend i attended to court paid my fines but the lady never showed up....now a year later the car company that fixed her car has contacted me and has been harassing me to pay 2095 or else they will revoke my license i keep calling the dmv and they keep telling me my license is good and they tell me that that company can't do that they have to go through a process....im worried now its not that i dont want to pay its just that i dont wanna give my info to any one i dont know or give my credit card information to them i gotta know what im paying for first....i dont know what to do anymore im six months pregnant and this is just getting stressful everytime now.....please help what can i do???? thanks!!!!

You should negotiate a payment plan with the other driver's insurance company. An agreement should be in writing and you should have an attorney review the paperwork before you sign.
If you were involved in an at fault accident where you caused damage to another vehicle, you are responsible for those damages. The insurance company that had to pay because you did not is perfectly entitled to have your license revoked. You need to make arrangements to repay them for the damage you caused.
