Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

City Property

Several days ago while leaving work I tripped on a city sidewalk in front of the hospital where I work and fell face first onto the sidewalk. I sustainged trauma to my face requiring a ride to the emergency room and 5 stitches in my forehead. I am sure the hospital bill will be over $1000 since I also had a ct scan. What are my options for sueing the city? I also have another problelm with a city policeman who ran a red light totaling my car and the officer did not show up for court twice. I also want to sue her for damages. Is there a lawyer willing to take my case?

Re: City Property

Dear Sirs:

You may have a case against the City if it can be shown that you fell on a defective condition present in the sidewalk.

A suit would have to be filed against the City to recover your damages.

Sincerely,
