I am concerned that someone can force me to sell my home to pay back a personal debt contract. If I put my partners name on the title to my home, can it help to keep the home safe?

Changing ownership in the face of personal debts may be considered a fraudulent conveyance that can be un-done by a court. If a person gets a judgment against you the creditor can file a "judgment lien" against your name and if you are on title to real estate can go after it. You need to see an attorney as soon as possible because how title is held could be important, and to determine what your best options are.
