Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I live in a condo and have been paying aspecial assessment since may, 2004. Montly payments have been made. I was told that I could make monthlly payments or take out a low interest loan. I choice to make monthly payments. Now that I am about to pay the special assessment off, I have been told that I must pay interest. I asked for paperwork showing that this was part of the agreement. The management is not able to provide me with this information. What are my rights? Thank you.

Why is management not able to provide the information? In many cases of special assessment, monthly payments require interest payments. You have the right to an explaination as to the interest calculation.
