Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I live in south chicago area. I purchased a condo about 3 years ago , and I have recieved a letter from our Master Association (they handle the waste removal, snow, parking lot etc.) that my building association is behind to them 4500 dollars. Now I only pay my building association a monthly assessment and they are supposed to pay the master association out of that.... So the master assocation has threatened to revoke all parking and put a lien on my property... (I have already paid to my association they won't give me any straight answers) what can i do? please help.

Write your association, or the association management company, a certified letter and retain a copy of the letter for your files. Demand a statement as to whether your building association is behind $4500, and how that occurred. Do you have an attorney, or did you have an attorney when you purchased your condo? Have you been aware of any financial difficulties of your building association?
