A church (located in the countryside) bought an empty Wal Mart Bldg located within the city limits and zoned commercial They want to convert the bldg into a church so they will have a bigger church. The city says, ''Sorry, but it's zoned commercial not religious and you knew that when you bought it.'' What, if anything, can the church do?

The church can appeal to the zoning board of appeals. If that does not work, file in court or sell the building.
