Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

DUI + No Turn Signal

I live in Chicago, but I was stopped by the local law enforcement in West Chicago for not using my turn signal. When the officer came to the window and asked for insurance he discovered i had been drinking. They asked me to step out of the car, they searched my car, didn't find anything but a bottle of beer which unfortunately was open. They ran my license number and found out my record is clean. They let me go without giving me a ticket for either the DUI or the no turn signal. Nor did they give me a breath test. Since they didn't give me a hard copy of a ticket, how do i know whether or not i will have a mark on my record? Thank you

Re: DUI + No Turn Signal

I practice and office in Du Page County (the county in which the municipality of West Chicago is located). I have to say that I'm amazed that you were not taken to the station and processed, and had to post bond. Thank your lucky stars!!
