Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Speeding Ticket

I just received a speeding ticket in Illinois. I was ticketed for going 81 on a 55 zone. One trooper radared me while the other trooper ticketed me. My record is clean I have not had a ticket in years. I can either pay $135 and go to traffic school. It will not show up in my record or I can fight the ticket. What would you recommend.

Re: Speeding Ticket

I would probably recommend just doing the supervision (Traffic school), BUT you might want to talk to an experienced traffic law attorney to see if they have any ideas for successfully fighting the ticket. It probably is not cheaper to hire an attorney to fight it though, so you might want to take that into consideration too, but with an attorney, you might be able to avoid traffic school (depends on the county).

Re: Speeding Ticket

Definitely take the deal where you can avoid the conviction going on your record even if you have to complete a driving school program.
